wristlets
My mum got me a sewing machine for Christmas. We downgraded a bit because our Lux expensive and modern one had something wrong with it. So she got me the good ole' Singer. Days after hopping joyfully over it, I went to Spotlight and got those remnants at 50% off (I found faux leather too, mind you, and it was 39.90 a metre!). I saw people making lots of those cute purses and tiny wristlets and decided to try making that too. (This coming from someone who's only sewn tote bags before, and the very first sewing project was an eowyn dress that turned out to be a size -100000 even a baby couldn't fit into it.) I hated the machine at first because I didn't know how to use it eventhough my mum had taught me.
3 tries, and I think I finally got the thing. I love my machine now. It's my best friend in the whole world.

This was what I wanted to do. My first zipper project too. Far right, was my first attempt, and the polka dot being the one I just finished. It's not perfect yet, but I'm getting there.

As you can see, the first try went all wonky. I was struggling with the machine. I really like the cloth I used.

Second. Was the skulls one. I got it for 12.99 per metre. The lining is pretty cute. Lining is vintage fabric I kept under my bed for 6 years now. I used to make clothes for Barbie with this fabric. I like contrast. Skull outside, inside feminine. That's like me, only the other way. Flowers outside, skulls inside... okay I better stop mumbling. Haha.

AHA, the final one that I am really proud of. I could sell this with a prototype price, lol. I have some of this fabric left, and it would make a great tote.

Together again, now with a hint of my new machine.
I really gotta put stuff up for sale. I'll wait till exams are over.
Good day everyone!
